This project involves ongoing refurbishment of industrial floors and other areas in a busy food-grade packaging factory.

Using a sequenced program agreed between Story Decorating Group and the Crown production team, it is possible to work alongside normal manufacturing activities with minimal disruption, using barriers to segregate safe work spaces.

We use a 3-headed diamond grinder to prepare the surface back to concrete, with continuous vacuum-controlled dust extraction to reduce external contamination. When required, rubberised floor areas are also scrabbled prior to grinding.

Floor damage is repaired where necessary using epoxy mortar, and concrete sealant applied with a roller.

Heavy-duty epoxy paint is applied using hand float and rollers to provide a seamless hard-wearing, chemical-resistant finish suitable for high-volume traffic. Safety markings and bay labels are applied as per specification by the client, using stencils where appropriate. Products used are solvent-free and low-odour. Flooring materials used are supplied by Resin Surfaces Limited and approved by Campden BRI.

Additionally, machinery in the factory has been cleaned down and motors repainted using Sherwin Williams Quick Dry enamel. Factory waste skips have also been repainted. We have cleaned & painted high level walls, metal and woodwork using MEWPS for access.
