We couldn’t be more proud to share the news of our award win at the prestigious Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Awards 2024 in Bristol! Having been initially selected as one of 31 finalists across six categories earlier this year, we were crowned SUPREME WINNER at the awards ceremony last Saturday, 5th April.
The awards celebrate ambition, innovation, collaboration and technical prowess within the commercial decorating sector. This year they had attracted over 200 entries from some of the UK and Ireland’s premier decorating enterprises, so were amongst top competition.
We had been shortlisted within the Commercial and Industrial category for our work at Haymarket Square in Edinburgh. This project, in collaboration with main contractor, Sir Robert McAlpine and client, Quartermile comprised painting and decorating to two state of the art office buildings within this iconic city centre site. Many unique and impressive features were included in the scope of work, such as complex honeycomb-like suspended ceiling panels and scenic lift shafts. More than 14 shades of Johnstone’s Cleanable Matt paint were used, along with other finishes to create stylish and functional internal spaces.
