Schloss Roxburghe Extension

Project Summary

This long-awaited project had been on hold since 2020 but we were eventually able to start on site in June 2022 after completing works to the original hotel in 2019.

Areas decorated:

58 hotel bedrooms & 2 suites, corridors, & front of house areas, including ballroom, restaurant/bar, spa with external infinity pool, spa treatment rooms, changing rooms & relaxation area including main spa area which included feature ceiling including made to measure wallpapers from across Europe.

The team sprayed mist & first coats which worked extremely well in big areas wand we also our off site facility for spraying of skirting boards to all bedrooms which were 2 different colours. There was a range of colours throughout the project including dark blue corridors and a gold feature in the spa corridor which left a sharp finish. A great deal of panelling also tested the teams cutting in skills.

We worked well with the main contractor, programming works in advance to ensure areas were cleaned out and ready and ensured smooth running of a very tight site once furniture was being delivered  co-ordination of the works was key.

Some filling and skimming were required in rough areas left by earlier trades & sanding down with our dust extracted Mirka sanding machines ensured top quality finish & also ensured dust free sanding to control health & safety & also site cleanliness

All operatives played a big part in the project & worked to extremely tight deadlines but produced an impressive hotel & a project to be proud of.
