Hartsop Fold, Patterdale

This was a very interesting project for Story involving the internal and external redecoration of luxury holiday lodges in the heart of the Lake District.

The tired externals were revamped and taken from a stained wood colour to an opaque wood stain by brush roller and airless spray.

Internally all timber ceilings and walls were finished with durable water-based emulsion and as these were existing varnished surfaces, they all need to be primed prior to the application of finishes. This was done using Zinsser B.I.N Primer.

The project was very challenging as we had to carry out the works out of season (wintertime). We battled the weather not only to complete the work but to actually get to the site as it was a severe winter, including help from a local farmer to toe our van up a hill on one particularly snowy morning.

The client was extremely happy with the finished project.
