Whilst the majority of our Carlisle site teams were on Furlough, we were approached by a local charity to see if we would be able to help them with the task of redecorating a new house for homeless people in the city. Carlisle Key works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. They provide assistance and support within their drop in and housing service to alleviate the hardship and distress caused by homelessness, housing, financial and other related difficulties. Their aim is to empower young people by giving them the knowledge, support, and confidence they need so that they can live independently and take an active role in the local community.
Being able to help our local communities during these tough times means a great deal to us at Story Decorating Group and it wouldn’t have been possible without these selfless individuals giving up their own time whilst on furlough so well done to Dave, Pavel, Nick and Adam, as well as office staff and MD Rob for making this happen and allowing the donation of materials and equipment.
In the charity’s own words “These guys have done this voluntarily on their own time while on furlough from the incredibly generous Story Decorating Group, our staff and residents are so grateful for your support – Thank You”
It has been our pleasure and we hope you love your new place.
