Inn on the Square, Keswick

This 34-room hotel in central Keswick was acquired by Lake District Hotels and required a full refurbishment to reopen in spring 2015. We worked alongside a main contractor on a planned programme which took place over 12 weeks. Our decorators worked extra hours overnight and weekends to achieve completion.

The architect-designed refurbishment – described as “Scandinavian design with a Cumbrian twist” – included bespoke digitally-printed wallcoverings, which required specialist adhesives and application by our skilled decorators.

Our team prepared surfaces of walls & ceilings prior to applying emulsion, and all woodwork was repainted. Externally, we painted the original render plus all metalwork and woodwork.

In the kitchen areas we applied hygienic coatings where required.

Operationally we were on site every day to complete before the tight deadline.
